Terms of Use
Creature Lab · Last updated October 28, 2026
The short version
Play, collect, trade and battle, and share your cards with friends. The game, its cards, artwork, names, text and sounds are ours: you may not copy, reuse, sell, edit or feed them to AI, and you may not cheat. The full terms follow; they apply whenever you use Creature Lab.
1. About these terms
These Terms of Use (the "Terms") are an agreement between you and the owner and operator of Creature Lab ("Creature Lab", "we", "us"), and they govern your use of the Creature Lab game, website, mobile apps and related services (together, the "Game").
By opening the Game, creating a profile, or playing, you confirm that you have read and accept these Terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the Game. If you are under the age of majority where you live, a parent or guardian must read and accept these Terms on your behalf (see section 2).
2. Who may play, and parents
Creature Lab is for players aged 13 and over. You may not use the Game if you are under 13, and we do not direct the Game or its marketing at children under 13. If you are 13 or older but below the age of majority, or below the age at which you can consent to the use of your data online where you live (these ages differ from country to country), you may use the Game only with the knowledge and permission of a parent or legal guardian, who is responsible for your use of the Game and who accepts these Terms for you.
Purchases are protected by an adult check: an adult must confirm before any purchase screen opens. If you are a minor, keep your device, app-store account and payment methods under the control of a parent or guardian.
3. Your profile
You can play without creating an account. The Game creates an anonymous player profile and remembers it on your device. You may optionally sign in (for example with Google or Apple) to link your collection across devices.
- You are responsible for what happens under your profile and on your device.
- Choose a display name that is suitable for a family game. Names must not contain real personal details, contact details, offensive or hateful words, or impersonate another person or the Game.
- One person should use one profile. Do not sell, lend, buy, or transfer a profile or its contents.
- You can delete your profile and its data at any time from More, then Delete Account, or on the account deletion page.
3A. Saving, switching and restoring your game
The Game can help you keep your game safe and move it between devices. These features are optional and are available only in the versions of the Game where they are turned on. In this section, "your game" means your profile and everything in it.
- Switching to another game on a device, going back to an earlier game, and restoring a saved game are always your choice. The Game asks you to confirm, can show you what is in each game side by side, and never merges two games, or moves cards or tokens from one game to another, on its own.
- A transfer code works like a key: anyone who has a live code can open your game on another device. A code works once and expires after ten minutes. Keep it private, do not post it anywhere, and do not give it to anyone you do not trust. Codes and games may not be sold, bought, traded or given away in exchange for anything (see sections 3 and 8).
- Starting a new game on a device does not delete your other games. A game you leave stays saved on our servers, and where the Game offers a way back to it you can return to it for a limited time. If you lose access to a device and you have not saved your game to an account or kept a way to transfer it, we may not be able to give you access to it again. Please keep your game safe in the way the Game offers (More, then My game), and see section 16.
- You may link only a game account (for example Google Play Games or Apple Game Center) or a sign-in that is yours or that a parent or guardian has set up for you.
- The welcome tokens that a new game receives are given once per game account. We may decline to give them again after a reinstall or an unlink, and for 180 days after a deletion, and we may limit or pause the creation of new games for a while if we detect automated or abusive creation (see section 11). Sharing a device or a network with family or classmates does not by itself stop you from playing or from receiving them.
- Deleting your account is permanent. The Game asks an adult to confirm it first. The Privacy Policy explains what is removed and what is kept.
4. Our licence to you
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable licence to install and use the Game, and to view and use the content in it, solely for your own personal, non-commercial entertainment.
All rights not expressly granted to you are reserved.
5. Our content and intellectual property
The Game and everything in it belongs to us or to our licensors. This includes, without limitation: the software and source code; the game rules, mechanics, formulas, card statistics and data; the creatures, characters, card names, descriptions, ability lines and other text; the card artwork, illustrations, images, frames, layouts, icons, animations and visual design; the sounds, music and voice; the Lab, album and collection structures; and the names "Creature Lab" and any logos or marks of the Game (together, "Our Content").
Our Content is created, selected, arranged and edited by us using our own design work together with software and generative tools. We reserve every right in Our Content that the law of any country gives us, including copyright, database rights, trade-mark rights, design rights, trade-secret rights and rights against unfair competition or misappropriation.
In addition to those rights, and whether or not any particular image, text or element of Our Content is protected by copyright in a given country, your use of Our Content is permitted only on the terms of these Terms. By using the Game you agree to the restrictions in section 6 as a matter of contract.
6. What you may not do
Except where we have given you written permission, or where the law gives you a right that cannot be limited by contract, you may not, and may not help or allow anyone else to:
- copy, reproduce, download in bulk, mirror, screenshot in bulk, scrape, crawl, harvest or extract Our Content, including card images, artwork, names, text, data or sounds, in whole or in part, by any means;
- distribute, publish, upload, post, sell, rent, lend, license, stream or otherwise make Our Content available to the public or to any third party, other than as allowed in section 7;
- modify, adapt, translate, trace, redraw, re-colour, crop, remix, or create derivative works or products based on Our Content, including merchandise, printed cards, physical or digital trading cards, NFTs or other tokens, stickers, games, apps, websites, bots, wallpapers, or fan products;
- use Our Content for any commercial purpose, advertising, promotion, sponsorship, or to suggest that we endorse you or your product;
- use Our Content, or data from the Game, to train, test, fine-tune, evaluate or improve any machine-learning, generative or other artificial-intelligence model or dataset, or to build a database of the Game's cards;
- use bots, scripts, crawlers or any automated means to access the Game or collect content or data from it, or interfere with the servers or networks of the Game;
- reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to derive the source code, rules, formulas, prompts, recipes or other non-public workings of the Game, except to the extent the law expressly allows despite this restriction;
- remove, hide or alter any name, watermark, logo, notice or identifier that appears on Our Content or in the Game;
- pass Our Content off as your own, or claim authorship or ownership of it.
7. What you are allowed to share
We want players to enjoy and show off their collections. You may:
- share your cards, your collection and your results using the share tools built into the Game;
- post screenshots and short videos of your own gameplay on social media for personal, non-commercial purposes, as long as you do not remove the Game's name or marks and you make clear it comes from Creature Lab.
If you want to use Our Content in any other way (for example in a video channel business, in press, in a school project that will be published, or in a product), please ask us first at the address in section 21. We often say yes.
8. Cards, tokens and other virtual items
Cards, tokens, packs, rewards and other virtual items in the Game are not property that you own. They are a limited right, granted by us under the licence in section 4, to use them inside the Game.
- They have no cash value, cannot be redeemed for money, and cannot be sold, traded or transferred outside the Game by any means, including through third-party marketplaces, accounts sales or gifts.
- The contents of packs are determined at random, and the outcome of opening a pack is final.
- A card's name, image, statistics, tier, finish, rarity, abilities and availability may be changed, rebalanced, corrected or removed by us at any time, for example to fix an error, to keep the Game fair, or to resolve a problem with a card.
- Owning the same card as another player does not give you any right in its artwork or design beyond what these Terms allow.
- When your profile is deleted, or ends under section 14, the items in it are lost and are not refunded, except where the law requires otherwise.
9. Purchases and ads
Real-money purchases are made only through Google Play or the Apple App Store, which process your payment and are responsible for it. Their terms, billing and refund policies apply to those purchases; we do not receive your card or billing details.
A purchase gives you tokens or other virtual items under section 8, not a right to any particular card or outcome. The Game may also offer optional rewarded ads that you choose to watch in return for in-game tokens. Ads are provided by third parties and are described in the Privacy Policy.
Your statutory rights to cancel, withdraw from, or receive a refund for a purchase depend on the law where you live and on the store's rules. They are handled by the store that sold the purchase, and nothing in these Terms limits them.
10. Trades, battles and other players
The Game lets players find friends, trade cards, challenge each other and take part in battles and leaderboards. Players cannot send each other free-text messages, images or files.
- Trades and battle results are carried out by the Game and are final once completed, except where we correct a technical error or a violation of these Terms.
- Friendly battles never move a card. In a Stakes battle, each player puts one card of their own at stake, and the winner permanently receives the loser's card. Before you play for keeps the Game warns you and asks you to confirm. Tokens are not staked, and a card lost in a Stakes battle is not refunded or restored. You take part in Stakes battles voluntarily, and the rules and the outcome are applied by the Game.
- Practice battles against a bot, including the guided practice battle in the first-time guide, never move a card or a token, are marked as practice, and do not count towards leaderboards, seasons or daily missions.
- Be fair and respectful. You can report or block any player from within the Game.
- We may review reports, reset a display name, remove or adjust results, and pause a player's social features to keep the Game safe and fair.
11. Fair play
You agree not to:
- cheat, or use bots, scripts, macros, modified apps, emulators set up to automate play, or any tool that gives an unfair advantage;
- exploit, hide or share bugs, glitches or errors for gain, or interfere with the Game's economy, trades, battles or leaderboards;
- create or use multiple profiles to farm rewards, manipulate leaderboards or trades, or avoid a restriction;
- harass, threaten or mislead other players, or use display names or any part of the Game for hateful, sexual, violent, illegal or otherwise inappropriate content;
- attempt to access another player's profile, our servers, or data you are not entitled to, or test the security of the Game without our written permission;
- do anything unlawful through the Game.
12. Third-party services
The Game relies on third-party services such as Google Play, Google Play Games Services, the Apple App Store, Apple Game Center, Firebase Authentication and Google AdMob. Your use of those services is subject to their own terms and policies, and we are not responsible for them.
13. Privacy
How we handle player data is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms by reference.
14. Suspension and termination
You may stop using the Game and delete your profile at any time.
We may warn you, limit features, reset a name, remove items or results, suspend or end your access, or block a device or profile, if we reasonably believe you have broken these Terms or the law, have put other players or the Game at risk, or where we need to do so to protect the Game. Where it is reasonable, we will tell you why, and you can write to us at the address in section 21 to ask us to review the decision.
Sections that by their nature should continue after termination (including 5, 6, 8, 16, 17, 19 and 20) continue to apply.
15. Changes to the Game
The Game is a live service. We may add, change, rebalance, suspend or remove features, cards, content, seasons and rewards at any time, and we may stop providing the Game altogether. Where the Game is shut down permanently, we will give reasonable notice in the Game where we can.
16. The Game is provided as is
We work to keep the Game running and fair, but it is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not promise that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of bugs, or that your profile and items will never be lost.
These Terms do not affect any rights you have as a consumer under the law of the place where you live that cannot be excluded or limited by agreement.
17. Limit of liability
To the maximum extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, or for loss of data, profits, items or progress, arising from your use of the Game.
Our total liability to you for all claims arising from the Game is limited to the amount you paid through the app stores for the Game in the 12 months before the event that gave rise to the claim.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, for intentional wrongdoing, or any consumer right that cannot be waived.
Some countries do not allow certain exclusions or limits of liability. Where that is the case for you, the exclusions and limits in these Terms apply only to the extent the law of your country allows.
18. Reporting infringement or a problem
If you believe that content in the Game infringes your rights, or you find content that is offensive or unsafe, write to us at the address in section 21 with: a description of the content and where you saw it; what right you say is affected and why; and your name and contact details. We will review the report and act on it where appropriate.
If you see Our Content being used outside the Game without permission, we would be glad if you let us know at the same address.
19. Governing law, disputes and where you live
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Israel, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules, and the competent courts in Israel have jurisdiction over disputes arising from them.
If you are a consumer, this does not take away the protection of the mandatory consumer-protection, child-protection and data-protection rules of the country where you live, and where the law of that country gives you the right, you may bring a claim in the courts of that country.
The Game is offered worldwide, but some features, purchases, languages or content may not be available in every country. You are responsible for following the laws that apply to you where you use the Game.
You may not use the Game if you are subject to trade sanctions or export restrictions that apply to us, or if you are in a country or region where the Game is not lawfully available to you.
20. General
- These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about the Game.
- If a part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest continues to apply.
- If we do not enforce a right, that is not a waiver of it.
- You may not transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms. We may transfer ours to a successor to the Game.
- We may update these Terms. The date at the top changes with them, and material changes will be announced in the Game. If you keep using the Game after a change takes effect, you accept the updated Terms; if you do not accept them, stop using the Game.
- This English text is the authoritative version. A translation is provided for convenience, except where the law of your country requires a version in your language to apply to you, in which case that version applies.
